British Royal Navy`s F class submarine
 
In 1913 the Admiralty decided to produce a standard double hull costal type submarine-the F class was designed.

Keel laid down by Chatham Royal Dockyard; launched May 31, 1915

Dimensions (L*B*D feet): 150`10*16`1*10`6
Propulsion: 2*450hp 6-cylinder Vickers diesel engine, 2*200hp electric motors for submergence driving two shafts

Diving depth (feet): 100
Complement: 2 officers 17 enlisted
Torpedo: 2*18" bow torpedo tube, 1*18" stern torpedo tube, containing a total of 6 torpedoes

Construction
Only 3 units constructed, F-1 to F-3, each by a different shipyard during 1915-17.
