French Navy Le Terrible S-612, SSBN   One of five Le Redoutable class, Le Terrible was laid down at Cherbourg Naval Dockyards onJune 24, 1967; launched on December 12, 1969 and commissioned on January 1st, 1973.   Le Terrible underwent a modernization overhaul during 1988 to 1990, reconfigured for use with M-4 missiles and bringing her to the L`Inflexible standard, recommissioned on June 11, 1990.
